Once a year around the middle of May something magical happens. It's called E3 and it stands for the Electronic Entertainment Expo. Hundreds of companies and thousands of people cram themselves into the Los Angeles Convention Center to see the hottest games in the world.
From May 17th to the 19th the luckiest people in the world will have their passes to the E3 show. They're going to see the Xbox in action, they'll be able to play on the Gamecube and see computer games way before they come out in stores. This year you'll be able to get a piece of the action yourself thanks to Ubi Soft (creator of Stupid Invaders, Rayman and more) and their 'Unleash the Player in you' booth. It's loaded with over 60 game stations featuring their newest titles like Rayman M, Batman: Vengeance and the mystery game Myst III: Exile.
Head over to www.ubisoft.com/e3-2001 and you'll be able to check out all the action through Ubi Soft's webcam. They've set it up so the whole world can watch the show.
While Ubi Soft has their booth setup Nintendo is going to be showing off Super Smash Brothers 2 for the Gamecube. If it's anywhere near as good as the first Smash Brothers game it'll knock you into next week with intense graphics and crazy action. I bet Samus is still gonna rock though, that girl kicks serious butt.
Speaking of girls kicking butt, the high-flying ladies of DOA3 are coming to the Xbox and only the Xbox. Big Bill has signed a deal and landed some serious action for the big black beast. E3 is gonna have all the juicy details as the game comes out from under wraps for the first time.
There's gonna be a ton more news coming from E3 when it takes place. Check back in a couple of weeks for a rundown of the biggest show of the year. If you're getting the newsletter you'll be the first to hear when the news is in.
