Sindy: You're set to be on an episode of Ugly Betty. Are you looking to do more acting in the future?
Katharine McPhee: Man, that was so great. I love America Ferrera. She's so sweet. I felt like we became friends in a day. It was such a positive environment. Everyone there was just so excited to be working - that their show has become a hit. I would definitely love to act more. It's something that I've always enjoyed.
Sindy: Will you be watching the sixth season of American Idol?
Katharine McPhee: I'll try. It's starting right as my album is coming out so I'm going to be really busy. But I have to admit that I'm intrigued. I'm definitely going to do my best to catch it.
Sindy: What advice would you give to this year's contestants?
Katharine McPhee: Try not to lose who you are. Don't get caught up in what kind of album you're going to make when the show is over. Just get through it. Do what you're best at. Sing what you know how to sing and just get through it.
Sindy: Are you still in contact with your American Idol costars?
Katharine McPhee: Kellie and I are friends, but I've been pretty busy making this album recently.
Sindy: You've been open about your eating disorder. Do you have any advice for young girls who may have body image issues?
Katharine McPhee: It's hard to give advice for that. People can tell you that you're thin enough or that you've lost too much weight but you really have to believe it for yourself. What I would say is that you should do anything you can to get deal with it at a young age. The earlier the better. I dealt with
Sindy: Did you make any New Year's resolutions?
Katharine McPhee: I don't really like them. It sort of reminds me of a time when I used to resolve to go on a diet or lose more weight or whatever. Now I just try to look at things generally like, "It's a new year, lets make it great."
