How good is your golf game? Is your swing sweet enough to make you the next Tiger Woods, or at least one of the best golfers your age? If it is, then get ready for the 2001 US Kids Golf World Championship.
The second annual Kids World Championship will take place from August 3rd to 5th, 2001 at Jekyll Island Golf Resort, Georgia. The three-day event is open to kids 12 and under from all over the world. Last year's tournament was entered by kids from as far away as Mexico, Ecuador and Barbados. The competition has a one-day skills tournament and a two-day tournment where golfers play nine holes each day. State qualifying for the World Championship runs between June 25 and July 13. For more information or to register online go to the US Kids Golf Web site between April 12, 2001 and June 15, 2001.
The World Championship will be played by kids who will likely be the future Tigers, Duvals and Lori Kanes. The girl who won last year's tournament in the girls 10 and under division was Cheyenne Woods, who is the niece of the one and only Tiger Woods. So if you have one of the best drives and putting strokes around, think about entering the 2001 US Kids Golf World Championship.
