New powers, new monsters, new spells and the smell of freshly opened booster packs! The Blastosplosion of Gigantic Rage set has arrived for the Duel Masters card game with 60 new cards to collect and duel with. Here's the scoop on what's in the set with our card game review.
Blastosplosion of Gigantic Rage - New Powers and Spells
If you like your card games colorful, you're in luck! Blastosplosion adds multicolored spells to Duel Masters, as well as a new Wave Striker power. Here's what's new.Colorful Spells and Awesome Monsters!
The new multicolored spells are sweet! You always get one per booster pack, so it's easy to get them, and most of them are really good. Especially Slash and Burn! The Wave Striker power also gives creatures a real power-up, and lots of them have it. There are more Silent Skill creatures to play with, including some awesome rares like the Heavyweight Dragon and Warlord Ailzonius. And, as always, the card art looks great and the card quotes are good for a chuckle.Anger and Gigantic Bad Cards in the Blastosplosion Set
Wave Striker is a cool power that gives a good boost, but it's hard to use! A Nature and Water deck could draw enough cards, and play them fast enough, to make it work. Otherwise it's barely worth it. What's also weird is that there are a lot of repeat rare cards in a box of boosters.Blastosplosion of Gigantic Rage Final Words
The Wave Striker power is better than the Survivors power - but just barely. It's the multicolored cards and sweet rares that make this set kick butt. Although more Silent Skill and dragon power-up cards is nice. If you want to own the zone, grab a few packs and cross your fingers!Blastosplosion of Gigantic Rage Thumbs Up:
