Going solo isn't easy - but Pharrell and LeToya think they're up to the challenge. Kidzworld takes a look at the debut efforts of two music veterans who are looking to assert their individuality!
Pharrell - In My Mind
Best known for producing hits for Kelis, Britney Spears, No Doubt, Destiny's Child, Mystikal, Justin Timberlake and way, way more (not to mention as the lead singer and drummer of N*E*R*D), Pharrell Williams has launched his first solo album. With that kind of resume, Pharrell has some serious expectations to live up to - and In My Mind doesn't dispoint. Guest appearances by Gwen Stefani, Snoop Dogg, Nelly, Kanye West and more, are only icing on Pharrell's tasty album.

LeToya - LeToya
Not to be outdone by her former band mates, LeToya has launched her first solo album since leaving Destiny's Child. LaToya, who co-wrote two of Destiny's Child's biggest hits - Bills, Bills, Bills and Say My Name - shows off her mad writing skills once again on this album. She wrote all but one of the songs! If there's anything to criticize about the album, it's that it doesn't really break away from the Destiny's Child sound. Overall, this is an upbeat R&B album that will have you dancing your summer nights away. Watch your back Beyonce!
