Well it's been awhile since I've managed to blog, but I've finally found some time to fill you guys in on what I've been up to. It's been a crazy couple of weeks - just been on the go, go, go. Despite having a week off from school, it feels like I need another vacation!
My mom couldn't get any time off work during Spring Break (and my dad is a crazy workaholic) so I was forced to take care of Amy for the week. It wasn't as bad as I thought, but on top of keeping her occupied I also had to get a bunch of homework done. There was my Shakespeare essay for English (no, I didn't cheat like Simon did), a big math test to study for and then there was the class presentation for history I had to prepare for. I had absolutely no free time to just sit back and chill.
After Spring Break wrapped up I was almost relieved to go back to school. I missed my friends and I missed getting out of the house. For all of Spring Break I was cooped up - I honestly don't think I left the house once in like five days. The weather was kind of gross so I couldn't even take Amy to the park or anything just to get some fresh air. She ended up just having a movie marathon week and working on a bunch of arts and crafts I set up for her. She really enjoyed the make-your-own camera project that I helped her with - so I think I have a new activity for the next time I have to babysit!
It's really quite crazy how time flies. Before I know it, it's going to be summer again. I should probably start planning to get a job or something to keep me occupied. A friend of mine was telling me about how she worked as a camp counselor last year at this really cool mountain lake in Colorado. I think that might be a fun way to spend my summer. And I think jobs like that pay fairly well, so I'd be able to save a lot of money. Maybe be able to treat myself to a new MP3 player or even a computer by next fall. That would be rad.
Have any of you thought about what you might be doing for summer vacation? Has anyone out there worked at a camp before? Or even just gone to summer camp? What was your experience like? I'd love to !
