Sindy: What do you think of the comparisons being made between you and other teen actors like Hilary Duff and Raven?
Sara Paxton: I think it's really nice. I mean Hilary's had an amazing career and I think it's a compliment. I hope that I can be as successful as she is but we're definitely different, you know?
Sindy: How do you react to people calling you a role model?
Sara Paxton: Umm, well it's not a bad thing! I think it's a really big compliment that little kids would look up to me. I think that's really great. I love being a role model.
Sindy: What responsibilities, if any, do you think you have because of being called a role model?
Sara Paxton: Me, myself - I don't do anything bad. I'm just like a normal teenager. I guess I won't be wearing skimpy outfits if eight year olds are looking up to me, but I wouldn't be wearing that anyways. So I don't really feel like I have to do anything cuz I'm already okay with myself.
Sindy: Are you working on any other projects right now?
Sara Paxton: After Darcy's Wild Life wraps up in a few weeks I don't have anything planned until the new year when my album and movie come out.
Sindy: Cool. What can fans expect from your album?
Sara Paxton: It's pop-rock music and I helped write some of the songs - and wrote a couple on my own. I just can't wait until it comes out, I'm really, really excited and I hope that everyone likes it. It's kind of a mixture between Natalie Imbruglia and Kelly Clarkson except our voices are totally different.
Sindy: Nice! I can't wait to check it out. So who would you say is the coolest person you've gotten to work with so far?
Sara Paxton: I had a small part in Liar, Liar with Jim Carrey and he was so cool. He was a really nice guy. I was only eight and he would not remember me at all but he was so funny on set and he was just really nice.
Sindy: Is there anyone you'd like to work with but haven't had the chance to yet?
Sara Paxton: I would love to work with either Goldie Hawn or Reese Witherspoon.
Sindy: So if you had to choose between music and acting, what would you choose?
Sara Paxton: I don't know, that's tough. I could see myself doing acting for the rest of my life. Singing's really great and I love doing it but I don't know if I could sing my whole life.
Sindy: What kind of tunes do you currently have playing on your iPod/CD Player?
Sara Paxton: Umm, right now? I'm really random cuz on my iPod there's everything from the Rolling Stones to Kelly Clarkson to Aqua. It's just everything. But I think the last thing I was listening to was Kelly Clarkson. I really, really like her album.
Sindy: So do you have a favorite singer or band?
Sarah Paxton: The Rolling Stones is my favorite band.
Sindy: What about your favorite movie?
Sara Paxton: OMG, that is so tough. I really like all of Jim Carrey's movies and I like '80s movies like Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club... I love Ferris Bueller's Day Off. All those kind of movies.
Sindy: Do you have a favorite TV show?
Sara Paxton: My favorite TV show... it's really hard because when I'm doing Darcy's Wild Life I don't really have a lot of time for TV so I always come back really far behind on the scoop on these shows. But, I really love The O.C., CSI and Entourage.
Sindy: Do you have an item of clothing that you can't live without?
Sara Paxton: I just got this bag - it's the Fendi Spy bag and I love it. And everyone's like, 'Oh, you're so lucky!' I take it everywhere I go.
Sindy: Do you have any celebrity crushes?
Sara Paxton: I really like Ryan Gosling. Yeah, The Notebook is one of my favorite movies ever! I always cry every time I watch it.
Sindy: Yeah, that's a great movie. So, do you have a boyfriend?
Sara Paxton: Ummm....
Sindy: Okay if you don't want to spill the beans, what qualities do you look for in a guy?
Sara Paxton: He has to be funny and nice. And smart.
Sindy: Okay, last question. Do you have any tips for kids wanting to get involved in the entertainment industry?
Sara Paxton: I started off with acting classes, just for fun. And those can really help you meet people because a lot of agents and managers check out acting classes to see if there are any up-and-coming talents. So I would just say follow through with acting classes because that's what I did.
