So, I've just been lounging around for the past few weeks, not really doing anything. I've managed to read a couple good books, take lots of naps, chill at the beach with my friends... it's been pretty great. But, I'm running out of funds to do things fast so I decided to look for a job. I'm not interested in babysitting again this summer cuz it was a bit stressful last year.

I went out yesterday and started handing out resumes. I don't have a ton of experience but I put all my volunteer work and involvement in the drama department and I guess that was all I needed - I've already got a job! There's this new diner that just opened up like ten minutes from my house and it's all like '50s themed. They said I was a perfect candidate because I've done lots of acting and that's kind of what I'm going to be doing for my job.

I think it should be fun. It's a drive-in diner so my job is to roller skate around and take everybody's orders. I don't have to serve up orders cuz they already have experienced waitresses and want me to get used to being on roller skates first. I've roller skated a couple times, but I think it's going to take me a few days to find my balance. I'm not exactly the most athletic person around.

But yeah, I'm looking forward to it. I'll get paid and get in shape. How cool is that? I would probably just be sitting around with my finger in my nose if I wasn't working, so it's cool. Are any of you working this summer? What kind of jobs are you doing? , I love hearing from you guys!
