Get the scoop on the Polarium video game for the Nintendo DS with our game review!
Nintendo's got a new game to tickle your brain! It's called Polarium, it's for the Nintendo DS and it's a puzzle game. This sucker dropped on April 18, 2005 and Gary managed to get his paws on it so he can bring you a game review. Here's the scoop!Polarium Game Basics
The way Polarium works is that you get a maze of different colored squares on your touch-screen and it's up to you to use the Nintendo DS's pen to trace a line through the maze to make all the tiles the same color. Polarium has a ton of puzzles you can solve, plus you can play a Tetris-ish game where puzzle lines pile up and you have to solve them to make them go away. There's even a two-player game where you can play the Tetris-mode against a friend! What Makes Polarium Hotter than Hot?
It's a great game for your brain! That's the coolest part about it cuz it's all about solving puzzles and some are wickedly hard. You can even create your own puzzles and challenge your friends to solve 'em. Plus, you can play the multiplayer mode against a friend without needing two copies of the game.Polarium's Brain Drain Problems!
The sad news is that, even though it tickles the smarty-pants parts of your brain, Polarium's music selection isn't the greatest. And, the Tetris-mode is really simple so it won't keep you busy for long, even against a friend.Puzzle Me This - Does Polarium Rock?
It's not a pulse-pounding thrill-a-minute game but it's great for peeps who like puzzles. It's especially fun if you have a friend or three to challenge to head-to-head games or to see who can create the hardest puzzles for each other to solve.Polarium Thumbs Up:
