Back on the Nintendo system for the first time since the SNES, Mega Man has returned to lay a mega smackdown on the enemy bots. Is he still the same Blue Bomber?
It's time to run, jump and blast your way through mechanical minions and super bosses. There are a ton of older Mega Man games but this is the first time the Blue Bomber has been on the Nintendo since the SNES. He's changed, and not entirely for the best.
Mega Man 64 Game Graphics
Rather than duking it out in classic 2D style Mega Man has gone 3D. He can run, jump and explore an entire island, above and below ground. Unfortunately the 3D graphics are a bit old cuz the game's a copy of a two year old Playstation game. What's nice though are the cutscenes, they're all done with the same graphics so it flows smoothly.
Mega Man 64 Weapons
Another big change is the weapons. You don't score them off of the bosses anymore. You find parts and have Roll build them for you. It's way different from the old games but still cool cuz you get all kinds of upgrades for your guns.
Mega Man 64 Cool Plots
The story's decent. There's a mystery, kooky villains and some funny stuff. Nothing earth-shattering but there are some cool tricks here and there. The main characters have voices, but they suck.
Mega Man 64 Game Summary
Capcom should've added stuff to it rather than just making a total copy of the Playstation version. Otherwise it's a decent game.
How hard is Mega Man 64?
It takes about 30 minutes to learn the controls and it's a good challenge after that.
