While Sony puts most of their best and brightest [kwlink]geeks[/kwlink] to work on the Playstation 3 game console, a couple of 'em snuck off and stole a shrink-ray from the far future. Rather than using it to shrink their boss down to the size of an [kwlink]action figure[/kwlink], they aimed it at the Sony [kwlink]Playstation 2[/kwlink] and let 'er rip! Now you can snag these mini-sized PS2s, complete with [kwlink]online gaming[/kwlink] power, once they drop in November 2004. Check out these pics and details:

The New Sony Playstation 2 - Small Size, Big Power!
This new system may look like it just hit the Atkins diet, hard, but it still has all the power of the old-skool
PS2. It drops on
November 3, 2004 for
$150 US with one controller, an ethernet adaptor for
online gaming and even a
modem adaptor in case you're behind the times. This new system weighs about
two pounds, half the [kwlink]PS2's[/kwlink] original weight, and is two whole inches slimmer - it's barely thicker than a [kwlink]skateboard[/kwlink]!
Slim-Style PS2 Game Glitches
The biggest bummer about the new [kwlink]Playstation 2[/kwlink]
game console is that the old
Multitap adaptor doesn't work - you'll have to grab a new one. You can't use the old
PS2 Vertical Stand either, but that's no biggie.
