Summer Concerts - Everything Old Is New Again
Feel like going retro? Three of the '80s top acts are hitting the road again, desperately hoping to prove that they've still got what it takes. The artist formerly known as the Artist, Prince, is handing out copies of his new CD to everybody that attends one of his shows. Madonna - or is that Esther? - embarks on a tour that's a mix of old and new songs, and is reportedly just as shocking as we've come to expect from the Material Girl. If you're in the mood to rock out, the Van Halen reunion might be a good bet.
Summer Concerts - Teenage Wasteland
Bummed that Britney's canceled the rest of her tour? Don't worry about it! There are plenty of other teen acts heading your way. Mrs. Newlywed herself, Jessica Simpson, is traveling coast-to-coast with a multimedia show that's packed with tunes and video clips. Or you might want to check out Lizzie McGuire's alter ego, Hilary Duff, as she embarks on an extensive North American tour along with her sister, Haylie. Let's not forget the return of Hanson, who are heading out in support of their new album, Underneath (it's probably a safe bet that they'll play MmmBop, though!).
Summer Concerts - The More The Merrier
Of course, if you really want to get your money's worth, you might want to head out to one of this summer's many musical festivals. The Vans Warped Tour is celebrating its tenth anniversary with a smokin' line-up that includes Simple Plan, Good Charlotte and Bad Religion. Projekt Revolution is a tour that's pretty new to the game (this is its third year), but their impressive roster of talent is nothing to sneeze at (bands like Linkin Park, Korn and Snoop Dogg). Finally, if you're not into hard rock or punk, the American Idols Live! tour features winner Fantasia Barrino. All nine of the show's runners up, including fan favorite like LaToya London and Jon Peter Lewis, will also be on the tour.
