The worms have gone gonzo and they're looking for a few good commanders to help 'em wage war with banana bombs, explosive sheep, holy hand-grenades and kung-fu action. These dudes have been scrappin' since forever but the Worms 3D video game for the Playstation 2 is the first time they've gone for the full third dimension.

The way it works is that you take command of a group of well-armed worm warriors on a 3D map. It's a turn-based game and on each turn you get to control one worm by moving it around and taking a shot at an enemy with a weapon. The weapons are things like blowguns, deadly grandmothers and other crazy stuff as well as basic grenades and things. The weapons can take life points from enemy worms, knock 'em around and even blow chunks of the map apart.

The fun-factor in Worms 3D is that the worms are total goofballs. They're constantly chatting about stuff and lipping off while they toss explosive sheep around the battlefield. Plus, you can customize your team from their flag to their voices - everything from surfer-dude worms to pirate worms!

The stinker about this wild wormfest is that the computer is about as smart as a pile of dirt. If you don't have friends to play against, it gets boring pretty quick. Also, the weapons don't cause much damage - you're way better off trying to drop your enemies off the edge of the map and into the water, which is annoying.
