Now that Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson (dawg!) have widdled down the American Idol Season 3 contestants to the final 32, I am just itching to give you my predictions who will make it - far. One of whom may just be the next American Idol!
American Idol Finalist Noel Roman
Age: 22What Rocks: Noel is full of life and has a voice to match. He's willing to do anything to get to the top. Even though he's said that he is "a very happy friendly individual who likes to see people smile," he also said he has no problem beating the pants off his brother.
What Doesn't: He's willing to do anything to get to the top. Does America really want a Richard Hatch inspired American Idol? I think Noel will make it into the top 12, and his brother won't (just to add drama), but his uncaring attitude towards his bro's demise won't bring him many votes after that.
American Idol Finalist Donnie Williams
Age: 22What Rocks: He's picking up where the Velvet Teddy Bear left off. But, this guy's also got a little more style than Ruben did, which is a definitely plus.
What Doesn't: Donnie looks like he's in his mid-thirties not early twenties, but then again, Clay looked like a giant computer geek at first, too. Maybe the stylists at American Idol can revamp Donnie Williams into a younger, hipper-looking version of himself. That will keep the votes pouring in and keep Donnie alive until at least the final 6.
American Idol Finalist Camile Velasco
Age: 18What Rocks: She's got a sweet sounding voice that's more unique than a lot of the others - her raspy speaking voice is rockin' too. Camile is also pretty down-to-earth and she's not a diva.
What Doesn't: Although very sweet, Camile Velasco, doesn't really seem like the sharpest tool in the shed, (when asked who in the music world she thinks her style is most like, Camile answered "Hip-hop song.") Camile will make it into the top 12 but then America will stop dialing her digits - one Jessica Simpson brainiac in the music biz is one too many.
American Idol Finalist John Stevens
Age: 16What Rocks: He's unique looking, not a total ego-trip, like a lot of other contestants, and he's got a great baratone.
What Doesn't: To be honest, I think this red-head dude is about as interesting as my school's vice principal (and trust me, that ain't interesting). Yeah, he's got a great voice and a total shot at winning, if my grandma was voting. But, a lot of people love quirkiness and geekiness (*cough* Clay *cough*) so he'll be around for a long while.
