Sindy's Blog - December 25, 2003
Dec 27, 2006Well, the fam has decided what to do about the Christmas dilemma - my dad is spending the holiday with us, at mom's. I thought it would be really tense, but dad came over this morning to watch us open presents and has been here all day helping cook dinner and it's been great. I guess they've decided to suck it up and be adults about the whole thing, which is a refreshing change. I'm sure they will go back to their cranky selves when the new year rolls around.
Amy and I scored pretty big this Christmas. Despite their new-found adult attitudes, the 'rents still felt in necessary to compete a bit in the present department. Got some wicked new clothes (which will come in handy now that I have a hot BF to impress), a new Discman and a bunch of CDs I've been dying for.
I feel like a spoiled brat for getting so excited about all the stuff I'm getting, but maybe I can make it up by volunteering at a soup kitchen or something over the holidays. Yeah, that's what I'll do. Maybe I can convince Kaelin or A.J. to join me in my humanitarian adventure. It's always more fun helping out a charity if you've got your friends by your side.
Getting pretty stoked about the big New Year's party that's coming up in a matter of days. I've never really been to a real New Year's party. My New Year's have usually been me and Amy playing board games with my parents, watching videos 'til midnight, then going to bed. But not this year! Oh no, this year will be spectacular, I can just feel it.
