If youre looking for a new punk band to listen to this summer, why not check out The All-American Rejects? Kidzworld reviews their debut CD right here!
If you've been groovin' to the tunes of bands like Avril Lavigne, Sum 41 and Simple Plan this summer, you should throw some The All-American Rejects into the mix. Their self-titled, debut CD hit stores in early 2003 and has been topping the charts ever since!
The All-American Rejects Cool Stuff
Every song on the Rejects disc is about a particular girl who seems to have caused lead singer, Tyson Ritter, some real heartache. This doesn't mean the CD is crammed with ballads or Celine Dion-type wailing - it's just the opposite. The All-American Rejects is jammed packed with upbeat, toe-tapping tunes like Swing, Swing and One More Sad Song that will be stuck in your head for days.
The All-American Rejects Lame Factors
While most of the songs on The All-American Rejects' CD are catchy, they're probably best left for the Avril Lavigne fans, instead of the hard-core punk crowd. A lot of tracks have electronic-sounding background noise, which can get annoying. The sounds of triangles and bells jingling in a tune meant for moshing just isn't that cool.
The Bottom Line on The All-American Rejects
For anyone whose ditched their collection of bubble gum pop music for a set of new-skool punk discs, The All-American Rejects is for you. Not only do you get 11 great tunes to listen to, the CD cover comes with complete lyrics to all the songs for you to sing along with! And, one last added bonus: the boys who make up the band are H-O-T-T.Rating:
All right, who's your favorite punk band? KW, please don't buy into the
commercialisim. Plenty of people on this site like actual punk like The Ramones, The Clash, Screeching Weasel. It sickens me that you would consider All American Rejects punk.
