Taryn Manning was born in the small town of Falls Church, Virginia but moved with brother Kellin and her mother to Tucson, Arizona, shortly after her parents split up. Eventually, Taryn Manning and her mom moved to California, where she was bitten by the acting bug. After auditioning and making the cut, Taryn Manning attended the prestigious Orange County High School Of The Arts. Dedication and hard work paid off, as Taryn Manning started landing TV roles on [kwlink]Boston Public[/kwlink], NYPD Blue and The Practice.

Taryn Manning is probably best known for her roles in films like Crazy/Beautiful, Crossroads, 8 Mile and White Oleander. Or maybe you've caught Taryn Manning in that high-profile Gap commercial, belting out "I'll Take You There" with Marianne Faithfull and Tweet. Taryn Manning has played everything from a pregnant high schooler, to a party girl, to Eminem's nasty ex-girlfriend. Despite having scored these choice roles, Taryn MManning has chosen to take a lil' acting break and concentrate on making music.
Taryn Manning - Boomkat
Taryn Manning and her older brother, Kellin, decided to take their mutual love of music and form a kickin' musical group, Boomkat, which released its first album in April 2003. Boomkatalog One, their first CD, isn't the only place you'll catch their music. Eminem checked out Boomkat's tunes during the filming of 8 Mile, and he liked them so much, he asked Taryn if he could use the song Wastin' My Time on the 8 Mile soundtrack.
