Do the Pokemon Video Games Ruby and Sapphire, for the Nintendo Gameboy Advance, have you stumped? Get some serious video game cheat codes at Kidzworld - with tips, hints and more!

Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire are the first Pokemon video games for the Nintendo Gameboy Advance. They're a great way to collect Pokemon, duel against other trainers and prove that you're the greatest trainer ever! But, you could get your butt kicked if you don't check out these Pokemon game cheats, hints and tips.

Tip#1 - Get Your Game Started With A Bang!

The first big choice to make is which Pokemon to start your game with. When you find Professor Birch being attacked by a Poochyena, you get to choose from three different Pokeballs to get your first Pokemon. Your choices are:
  • Treecko - a Grass Type Pokemon.
  • Torchic - a Fire Type Pokemon who evolves into a Fire/Fighting Type Pokemon.
  • Mudkip - a Water Type Pokemon who evolves into a Water/Ground Type Pokemon.
  • In the Pokemon Ruby game you should choose Mudkip because it can defend against fire very well. In the Pokemon Sapphire game, grab Treecko because he is strong against water. Treecko will be weak later in the game, though, so make sure you train other Pokemon in Pokemon Sapphire!

Tip #2 - Collect The Shiny Pokemon!

The rarest Pokemon in Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire are the Shiny Pokemon. There's about a one in 256 chance you'll encounter one and they're hard to spot. Watch for stars appearing when you battle them, then grab them as soon as you can!
