September Nintendo Direct Mini Announcements!
The Switch is getting even more third-party games.
Sep 17, 2020Nintendo Switch fans get a new batch of third-party games to look forward to! Check out the latest batch of announcements from this week’s Nintendo Direct Mini!
Monster Hunter Rise and Stories 2: Wings of Ruin
Two new Monster Hunter experiences are hitting the Switch! First, an all-new, full-fledged Monster Hunter game called Rise. It might be tough going back to a portable Monster Hunter game after Monster Hunter World, but Rise has plenty of new ideas including the ability to climb walls and zip-up cliffs with a grappling hook! Even better though, you can bring along a dog companion called a Palamute that lets you ride into giant monster hunts in style.
Monster Hunter Stories 2 is a story-driven take on Monster Hunter with a more animated graphics style, but not much else is known about this game as of now. Rise is coming out on March 26th, 2021, and Stories 2 is launching Summer 2021.
Fitness Boxing 2: Rhythm & Exercise
The title for this one explains it about as well as any description could. Fitness Boxing combines a fun rhythm game with the always entertaining and easy to pick up boxing gameplay that started way back with Wii Sports. Mix these, and you have a challenging workout! HIt the ring this December.
Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny
The sixth entry in the long-running Tactical RPG series is making its way over to a Nintendo console after years of being closely tied to PlayStation. Coming Summer of 2021.
Empire of Sin
Empire of Sin is a strategy game that places you firmly in the prohibition era America of the 1920s. This one is arriving on December 1st, 2020.
Sniper Elite 4
Take on World War 2 through the scope of a sniper’s rifle. Arriving on Switch later this year.
Balan Wonderworld
A new 3D platformer from the creator of Sonic the Hedgehog is coming on March 26th. In Balan Wonderland, you platform through 12 stages and put on 80 costumes that give you new and exciting abilities. Coming 2021.

Hades, the rogue-like dungeon crawler inspired by Greek Mythology got a surprise release on the eShop today.
