2018 is barely behind us but that doesn't mean that the game releases are stopping anytime soon. With an awesome year behind us, 2019 is poised to release some massive titles right out of the gate. But, what can we look forward to sooner rather than later? Check out our list of the biggest games coming early on in 2019.
3. Anthem
If you're a Destiny player then it looks like you may find a lot to love in BioWare's Anthem. We've seen a lot from the game since its reveal during E3 2017 but there's still a bit of mystery around this upcoming title. Anthem is a third person action-RPG with a heavy online focus, so what does that wordy genre mean exactly? This is the type of game based around grinding, hunting down loot, and leveling up your character alongside your friends. The big hook of this game comes from the Iron Man-esque suits that your character wears. Flying through the air, blasting enemies with your robotic suit, and quipping with your friends feels like a scenario ripped straight from the pages of a Marvel Comic and crammed into a single game.
ANTHEM - Official CES 2019 Trailer
While Destiny doesn't feel nearly as popular as it once did, Anthem looks like it will give a shot of life back into this genre. If you're a single player gamer than you're going to want to wait and see what reviews are going to look like, we've seen a lot of multiplayer content and heard some reassuring words from EA about supporting those single player fans but we'll need to wait and see. Luckily that wait won't be too long as Anthem releases on February 22, 2019.
2. Jump Force
Fans of anime and manga have a lot to look forward to with this one. This 3D fighting game brings together characters from all over the various Shonen Jump worlds and pits them against one another. 1. Kingdom Hearts 3
While there have been tons of spinoffs and side stories, Kingdom Hearts 2 released over a decade ago on the PlayStation 2 so to say this has been long-awaited is almost an understatement. For those unaware, Kingdom Hearts merges the worlds of Final Fantasy and Disney into one crazy and confusing package. If you want to characters from your favorite movies fighting shadow monsters then this is the game for you. Tons of new worlds that were unexplored in previous games are making their debut here: Frozen, Tangled, Big Hero 6, Monsters Inc, and more are being included in this one big boy of a package.
