Meet Migo the Yeti and Friends at the Smallfoot Village Experience

Aug 17, 2018

Kidzworld got to chill out at a Yeti village inspired by WB’s Smallfoot in the heart of sunny Los Angeles for a cool time with an encounter with some of the film’s stars. Flip through our gallery to take a look at the awesome event.

The Film

Opening on Sept 28th, Smallfoot will take audiences on an adventure through the secret snowy worlds of the Yeti. The animated adventure stars Channing Tatum as the yeti, Migo, and James Corden (Peter Rabbit) as the Smallfoot, Percy.  Also featured in the movie are Zendaya (Spider-Man: Homecoming), Common, LeBron James, Gina Rodriguez, Danny DeVito, Yara Shahidi, Ely Henry, and Jimmy Tatro. The film will follow Migo, a bright young yeti who discovers the existence of the HUMAN.  Known as the “smallfoot”, this news sends the yeti community into a panic over what else might be out there in the big world below their snowy village. Migo and his curious friends realize that through their friendship, a chance encounter, and having courage that maybe big changes aren’t that bad after all.

The Yeti Village

The family friendly installation will take audiences from the secret home of the Yeti on the mountain to the human village of the film. The Smallfoot encounter will feature you as the very kind the Yeti meets in the movie. Don’t be surprised to run into Migo and friends while there!

In a 40-minute experience, you’ll follow in Yeti-sized footprints and be transported to the world of the movie. The installation features a bunch of great photo-ops like a swing on the mountain, being hoisted by Migo, and a cool snowy gif moment. All for the best grams with family and friends. The falling snow in the gif-room was bubble based sort of like at theme parks so we definitely did not decide to stick out tongues out. We also really loved the swing on the mountain photo-op where we got to sit on a giant swing to look like we were hanging out on top of the mountain.

There are also really cool carnival games, Karaoke at the Yak Shak where you can sing your favorite pop songs, arts and crafts all themed after the film’s fun adventure. The small details on the activities were so awesome and wonderful puns on the icy themes down to the art. We even found snowball prize barrels around filled with the Hostess dessert. Most of the settings were even inspired by the places audiences will see in the movie like the Karaoke place and small village complete with a goat like the one we see in the trailer for the movie.

It’s a completely immersive experience that recreates the movie’s environments for an unforgettable day that will get you in the Winter spirit in the Summer. You’ll go down a mountain on a big slide and play in a giant snowball pit! Though that’s more for the littler crowd like your your younger brothers and sisters. They’ll also be able to take part in lots of colors walls and sheets and parents will be able to keep up with all the sugary candy that will be on hand to snack on.

Here’s a look at the different activities and photo spots inside the event that you can’t miss if you’re in the LA area. It’s so much fun and a great way to escape the LA heat and spend the day with friends and family. And you’ll come away with some memorable pictures to share online on social media or print at home.
