San Diego Comic-Con is kicking off a ton of announcements about all things superhero related and we've got a new look at LEGO DC Super-Villains through a trailer released to coincide with the giant trade show. Check out the new footage of the upcoming game below!
A New Look at LEGO's Super-Villains
The latest trailer for the upcoming game gives a deeper look into the setup of why you'll be controlling the villains, rather than the heroes, on this DC adventure. The good-guys, also known as the Justice League, are in trouble, not from our usual cast of villains but the group of imposters calling themselves the Justice Syndicate. With the usual saviors of the day are out of commission it's up to the bad guys to step up to the plate and get our heroes back in action with a new story written in a collaboration with the team over at DC Comics. Take a look at the new trailer below!

However, those nasty DC bad-guys can't do it alone and they'll need help from the new rookie to the team: you! Your customizable character is the latest member to join up with the Super-Villains and the new trailer shows off a bit of that customization and how you can deck out your very own LEGO villain. While we see a ton of different characters in that trailer, Harley Quinn seems to be the star of the show as she's the video's narrator. It seems like she'll wind up as the main character of the game's story.
Playable at Comic-Con
We'll also be seeing more of the game following the hands-on demos which are playable all across Comic-Con. On top of that, there will be an inside look at the show presented by the head of design at TT games alongside several of the game's voice actors including the voice of Harley Quinn (Tara Strong) and Batman (Kevin Conroy.) Fingers crossed that we get a look at some new footage for the upcoming game alongside some more concrete story details.
You can also walk away with some exclusive pre-order bonuses depending on where you wind up picking up the game. GameStop offers a Harley Quinn Steelbook, Target has a pair of bag tags featuring Harley Quinn and Joker, and Walmart will give you the DC Super Heroes: TV Character Pack. We're light on details but I'd predict that the Walmart pack is either a set of LEGO figurines or some in-game content, we'll keep our eyes open for specifics. While those story details are still on the scare side, we at least know that the game is hitting store shelves on October 16, 2018 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC and players can explore the world of LEGO DC from a side of justice that's rare to see.
