If you were gaming before the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Wii U generation then you may remember the classic racing series Burnout. While the game got its start and became a household name during the PlayStation 2 and original Xbox era, many gamers fondly remember the PS3/360 entry Burnout Paradise as the peak of the series, and the last mainline entry in the series way back in 2008. Well, a smooth looking remaster looks to bring the game to PS4 and Xbox One in less than a month!
Paradise City in 4K
Burnout Paradise's home of Paradise City makes for a perfect playground to cruise and crash through. The wide-open world has players getting better cars to pull off better tricks or to take home the gold in a race. The atmosphere of the game is what made it such a memorable title during the last generation, in fact, it's the first PS3 game I had ever purchased with my own money so I definitely have a personal connection to the game. While the Xbox One and base PlayStation 4 will be playing the game in 1080p native, every version of the game will run at 60fps and the PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X consoles will run the game in 4K. Take a look at the new trailer!
Burnout Paradise Remastered Official Reveal Trailer
Everything you loved about the original game is still intact. Every vehicle from the original game is available here and players that really want to feel transported back into 2008 can listen to the exact same original soundtrack from yesteryear. Burnout Paradise also kicked out one of the most expansive collections of DLC ever seen in a racing game (back in 2008) and every bit of DLC seems to be included in this remake. While the remaster certainly looks better, it's clear that this is still the same game players fell in love with. Check out a comparison of before and after below!
