Beyoncé just dropped her second visual album Lemonade, and fans and reviewers alike cant stop talking about it! Check out Kidzworlds album review!
Lemonade
When Queen Bey dropped the secret album, reviewers and fans alike felt that it was her edgiest, most adventurous, and most personal album yet. She amazed people with incredible visuals, great lyrics and insight into life as a mother and a wife. With her sixth solo album (and second visual album) she doesn't disappoint, and continues to push the envelope musically, visually and personally.
In the song "Freedom," Beyoncé sings: "I'm a keep trying cause a winner don't quit on themselves." That one line sums up the entire album - she's unsure about her marriage, she has to work hard as an artist and as a person, but at the end of the day she feels the work is worth it -- even when it's hard. Lemonade may not be as energetic as the secret album, but its very personal, and real.
Lemonade features more ballads, that showcase her vocal range and the breadth of emotion she's capable of in song. Standout numbers include "Hold Up," "Daddy Lessons," "Formation" and "Sorry." Like her last album, the visual element is spectacular, her outfits alone are worth watching for. The album is nicely highlighted with great feature artists like The Weeknd, Jack White and English electronic artist James Blake.
This album spurred many rumors that her husband Jay-Z was cheating (which might explain the famous elevator incident where her sister Solange was spotted landing a high kick at Jay!) But as Beyoncé herself says on the album, the best revenge is your paper (way to show him!)
