During Nintendo's latest Nintendo Direct a remake of the classic Japanese RPG Dragon Quest VII: Fragments Of The Forgotten Past was announced for Nintendo 3DS and it's coming later in 2016.
This is no mere simple upgrade though. The Nintendo 3DS version releasing later in 2016 is practically a whole new game thanks to a completely rebuilt world and new 3D character models which replace the pixelated sprites of the original PlayStation version from 2000.
Not only that, but Dragon Quest VII: Fragments Of The Forgotten Past has also received a brand new English translation. So those familiar with the original dialog will be in for a treat and possibly a few surprises.
In the seventh game in the long running Dragon Quest series, you take the role of the main hero, a son of a famous fisherman who has even greater ambitions for his life. It's not long before you meet up with Prince Kiefer and a confident young girl named Meribel, and set off on the adventure of a lifetime.
Using a fragment detector, you and your two companions must fined the missing fragments of a stone tablet and upon piecing them back together are sent back in time for an epic battle to save the present.
