First Look at Michael Fassbender in Assassin’s Creed

Asassin’s Creed fans! Today we have our first look at Michael Fassbender as Callum Lynch in the upcoming film based on the game. The character is entirely new to the franchise. The film also stars Marion Cotillard and will be directed by Justin Kurzel. Production is beginning in Malta, London and Spain.

Here is the official synopsis: Through a revolutionary technology that unlocks his genetic memories, Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) experiences the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain. Callum discovers he is descended from a mysterious secret society, the Assassins, and amasses incredible knowledge and skills to take on the oppressive and powerful Templar organization in the present day.

Star Wars: Battlefront: Battle of Jakku Available for Free in December

We’re close to the release of Star Wars: Battlefront and today we’ve learned that the DLCThe Battle of Jakku (which is the planet we find Daisy Ridley‘s Rey on in the upcoming film) will be available to those who pre-order the game on December 1 and a week later for everyone else. The DLC is described as “the pivotal moment when the New Republic confronted key Imperial holdouts on a remote desert planet.”

Star Wars Battlefront will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on November 17. Star Wars: The Force Awakens will hit theaters on December 18.

First Third-Party amiibo is Shovel Knight According to a Leak

Fans of Shovel Knight are about to get some good news if a leak is to be believed. The first third-party amiibo will be the lead character from the game. The Twitter account for the Game Brighton’s store in the UK tweeted a photo showing the character and the release date. We’ll see the it on November 27, at least in Europe. The tweet has been deleted, but as you know, everything on the Internet lives forever. Apparently the figure will unlock exclusive content in Shovel Knight on the Wii U and 3DS.

There are other third-party amiibos, but this is the first to be created for a third-party game.
