Kidzworld recently did some trash talking about cheerleading. We called cheerleaders stupid and snobby. But a lot of peeps say cheerleading is the bomb and think cheerleaders get a bad rap. Read page 2 of our user feedback.
Not all cheerleaders have lame brains. I am on High Honor Roll at my school and have a high class rank because I am taking hard classes. And I am totally not a snob, I have never been a prep nor want to be one. I treat everyone equally because I want to be treated equal. We yell "lame" sentences like, "Go, team, go!" because if you yell a long sentence like, "Come on basketball team, get that ball!" it's hard to project that all the way across the court. With "Go, team, go!" you can have a sharp sentence and yell it loud. Counting to three is to get everyone together, not just to count. We're here to help get the crowd into the game, and it works.

I don't see cheerleading when I'm on the field, but I see it off the field! I think it's cool. I know some of them are snobby, but not all of them! They are cheering for the team like everybody else does. I think it's a sport! I think cheerleading is cool. It's a sport because you have strageties to do it, just like golf! People say that's not a sport, but you gotta have a stragety. I think it's cool, not lame.

Cheerleading is for girls who just wanna have some fun! Cheering on their fans, learning new cheers and dances & working hard to make their fans proud! I would know all this cuz i am a cheerleader. Cheerleaders aren't dumb & snobby. I'm a honor roll student and most of the girls on my squad are on honor roll. Just cuz you're a cheerleader doesn't mean you're snobby. It just means you want to support your school & team.

Cheerleaders are smart. They have to learn dances, memorize words, & maintain at least a "c" average. They encourage teams to play better. I'm a cheerleader myself. It's a fun sport and it IS a sport. Cheerleading's more dangerous than football. Cheerleaders work hard to make the squad good. At my school we do really advanced stunts. We do hill stretches in an extension and more. We never do preps (i'm the flyer lol.) Without cheerleaders, teams wouldn't have the motovation to win!

Okay, the only people who ever talk bad about cheerleaders are people who are jealous of them. I've been cheerleading for two years and it is one of the hardest things I have ever done in my entire life. People who have not been cheerleaders before have absolutely no right to write articles about how it is not a sport and about how it is L-A-M-E, because they have never done cheerleading and all they know about is what they see. There is much more to it than what they think. Cheerleading squads are sisters separated at birth that have the same passion and determination to excel in the sport.
