Bottom Line

Very few people realize that George Lucas (Director of the Star Wars films) was working on Strange Magic for 15 years! He envisioned creating a film for his three daughters that was just as interesting and powerful as Star Wars had been for boys their age when it came out. Although Strange Magic didn't take over the box office on opening weekend, this movie features an all-star cast voice cast including Maya Rudolph, Kristin Chenowith and Evan Rachel Wood.

Strange Magic is all about finding beauty in unexpected places - and one thing the movie certainly is, is beautiful. If you're into gorgeous animation, then you'll appreciate the effort that went into creating such a stunning fairytale world. The musical elements to the movie aren't as memorable, and the storyline has some confusing parts, but if you're into elves, fairies, spells and curses, this animated film will definitely peak you interest.
