"Arrow" fans have been speculating endlessly about whether or not Laurel “Dinah” Lance (Katie Cassidy) would end up as Black Canary. Then a certain someone else took over. 4. The Royal Couple Meet One Direction
So much famous in one place! This week the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the Royal Variety Performance, where One Direction, McBusted and Bette Midler performed. So what was the big takeaway? Kate met Harry Styles! His bandmate Liam Payne said that meeting the royals was “the most nervous I think I’ve ever been in my life!”
5. The Final Look at The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies
It’s the final TV spot for the final Hobbit film. The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies will hit theaters on December 18 and this week we got our last look at the spectacle before that date. In addition, Billy Boyd who played the Hobbit Pippin in The Lord of the Rings trilogy is singing the over-credits song “The Last Goodbye.” We got a snippet of that, too.

Now that George Lucas has passed the Star Wars franchise to Disney, he’s got other things on his plate. His newest project is Strange Magic, a musical animated film based on Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” Check out the first look photo!
7. Daniel Bruhl Will Battle It Out With Captain America
Today we learned who is playing the villain in the upcoming Marvel film Captain America: Civil War. Daniel Bruhl (Inglorious Basterds, Rush) has been cast as the bad guy. He’ll battle it out with Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. in the film, which hits theaters on May 6, 2016. However, we still don’t know who he’ll play!
