Broken Age is the latest game from the masters of adventure games, Tim Schafer and his team at Double Fine studios. Oh ya and you can download it starting... Now!
Some of Tim Schafer's previous games include the acclaimed Monkey Island series as well as the more recent Brutal Legend and 'Stacking'.
Broken Age follows in the foot steps of the great point-and-click games of the 90's, a genre given too little love these days. You take control of 2 character's, Shay and Vella, who are each on their own fantastic coming-of-age journey.
Shay is a young man who appears to be the only person on his spaceship. The ships computer takes care of him, as a guardian...but the ship is hiding the full truth of Shay's purpose on board. Check out Shay's trailer below.

Vella is a young woman who has been chosen as a sacrifice to a Monster but decides she would rather try to kill the monster instead. Check out her character trailer below.
Broken Age - Vella Trailer
As with any Double Fine game, expect sharply written characters and dialoge and of course, talented voice actors to bring it all to life. In this case, Shay is voiced by Elijah Wood. You may know him as Frodo from LOTR and The Hobbit. The beautiful Vella, is voiced by the wonderful Masasa Moyo who has been heard in numerous games, including Arkham Origins.
Beautiful artwork that resembles paintings brought to life adds the final touches on what looks to be another masterpiece from Double Fine and crew.
It should be noted that Broken Age is coming to us in separate chapters (you get the 2nd act free if you payed for 1st). So right now Broken Age: Act 1 is available. It will last about 4 hours. No date has been set for the release of Act 2. But we'll be on top of it here at Kidzworld.
Broken Age: Act 1 is available for PC, iOS, Android, Linux and Ouya. $24.99
I'm really stoked to download this for myself. Could this be the first game Kidzworld does a Let's Play for? Consider it in the running!
