Canadian Beginnings
Robbie Amell was born on April 21st, 1988 in Michigan, but grew up in Toronto, Canada. As a kid he was a model and acted in commercials. While in high school he started to become involved in school plays, acting in plays like The Importance of Being Earnest.
From Film to TV
His first film role was as Daniel in Cheaper by the Dozen 2, which was filmed near his home in Canada. After that he landed several supporting roles in American Pie Presents: Beta House, Picture This and Left for Dead. He also played Fred in Scooby-Doo! The Mystery Begins and Scooby-Doo! Curse of the Lake Monster for the Cartoon Network. In Canada, Robbie was best known for his role as Max on the Nickelodeon show Life with Derek. This role helped him land a spot on the hit TV show Pretty Little Liars where he played Noel’s brother Eric.
The Tomorrow People
In 2013, Robbie joined the cast of the new CW show The Tomorrow People, set to premiere fall 2013. The show follows a group of teens who have supernatural powers. Robbie plays Stephen, one of the main characters on the show.
