Kim Kardashian was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She is the daughter of Robert Kardashian, an attorney who received much attention during the O. J. Simpson trial in the mid-1990s. After her parents divorced, her mother married Bruce Jenner, the Olympic athlete. Kim grew up with money and was friends with Paris Hilton and the rest of the LA socialites.

In 2007, Kim and her family got their own reality TV show. Keeping Up With the Kardashians followed Kim and her sisters Kourtney, Khloe, Kendall and Kylie. The series showed the drama that the girls went through with each other and their other family and friends. Because of the show, the entire Kardashian family rose in popularity until they became a household name.

Over the years, Kim has been involved in many high profile romances. Her ex-boyfriends include Damon Thomas, Ray J, Nick Lachey and Kris Humphries. In 2012 Kim started dating musician Kanye West. They relationship has been followed closely by the press. On New Years Eve 2012 the couple announced they were pregnant. On June 15th Kim gave birth to a baby girl, North West.
