LEGO STAR WARS: The Empire Strikes Out is an original animated story based on both the LEGO STAR WARS toy sets and the classic and prequel Star Wars movies. The heroes of the Rebel Alliance (Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Hans Solo) are back, but when Luke embarks on his latest mission to stop Darth Vader and his crew, but his newfound celebrity as the "Death-Star Blower-Upper" makes it hard to escape the screaming hordes of fans! LSW: The Empire Strikes Out first aired as a television special in September 2012, and is now available to take home DVD!

Although LEGO STAR WARS: The Empire Strikes Out doesn't really come with extras on the disc, however a huge draw is the mini LEGO figurine of Darth Vader that is included with the box set.
The Bottom Line
LEGO STAR WARS: The Empire Strikes Out is full of back-to-back slapstick and jokes based on the original films that fans and Star Wars newbies alike can enjoy. Highlights include the sith-ling rivalry elements between Darth Maul and Darth Vader and the running gag with the Luke's female fans running amok throughout the adventure is a fun wink to the audience. This is definitely a cartoon that'll make you chuckle, perfect for viewing with younger siblings. The only thing missing is some extras to make it last longer!
