Justin Timberlake: The 20/20 Experience Album
Justin Timberlake has burst back onto the music scene after a six year hiatus (in which he broke into film industry to star in several films) and it seems that he's come back to just where he left - on top! Starting out as a member of the pop powerhouse boy band N' Sync, Justin eventually made his way into being a top solo R&B-inspired artist who, when he teamed up with producer Timbaland was unstoppable, and despite the hiatus The 20/20 Experience is further proof that they're a perfect pop duo. The 20/20 Experience is influenced by all genres of music and melds jazz era finesse, soul, modern beats and smooth R&B.
Much like on his debut solo album Justified, Justin has used his romantic experience to fuel the feel and sound of the album, but while Justified was a dark (but catchy) take on failed relationships based on his experience with ex-girlfriend and pop starlet Britney Spears, The 20/20 Experience is all about marriage and romantic bliss - just take a listen to his second single "Mirrors." It's all about someone you can't live without, or even "That Girl," a song in which is adoringly sings "I'm in love with that girl, and she says that she's in love with me." Based on these lyrics, we have to assume that Jessica Biel is a lucky lady!
Many of the songs of JT's album run 7 or 8 minutes, which isn't the usual formula for pop success, but the carefully layered songs have a good chance of shooting up the charts. The 20/20 Experience is enjoyable from start to finish, and should leave his older fans happy and lure in some new ones as well!
