2012 might be the start of the end for the current gen Nintendo console, but it still had a lot of great games this year!
No. 5: Rhythm Heaven Fever
This cutesy and cartoony game manages to combine two popular features from the games of yesteryear. Using the Wii's motion controls, you play several different mini-games that will have you doing things like swordfighting, badminton, and stabbing peas with a fork. However, you must also complete these actions in time to the music! The music and gameplay is catchy and makes this game great for parties.
No. 4: Xenoblade Chronicles
The long awaited Japanese RPG finally came out this year! Xenoblade Chronicles picks up one year after the previous game in the series and features lots of exploration and a real-time action-based battle system. There is lots to see and do in this game, as the game's world is as large as the country of Japan!
No. 3: Mario Party 9
If you have played Mario Party in the past, you should have a decent idea of what to expect for this game, which is the second in the series made for the Wii. The big difference in this game is the big Mario Party styled boss battle at the end of each board.
No. 2: Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two
See all your favorite Disney characters, old and new! Epic Mickey 2 focuses on co-op play with one player controlling Mickey and the other Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. Even if you are playing single player, the computer will take over Oswald so that the two characters can work together.
No. 1: Wii U
Our favorite Wii-related item this year isn't even a Wii game, it's the new console! The new Wii U features a cool gamepad that has a built in touch screen, enabling a new way to play games. Already there are lots of great games for the system, such as Scribblenauts Unlimited and Nintendo Land.
