The unforgettable live show Cirque Du Soleil hits the big screen so that everyone can experience the magic. Kidzworld has the movie review of Cirque Du Soleil: Worlds Away 3D.

Like the Real Thing

With only about a minute in total of actual lines, the Cirque Du Soleil movie is very similar to the real live show. It has grand sets, elaborate costumes and, of course, amazingly talented performers.

Love At First Sight

The story follows a young woman who attends a typical circus: striped tents and sideshow performers like the bearded lady and the knife-swallower. Then she’s given a flyer for an aerialist show. When she arrives, one look between her and the aerialist proves love at first sight. But the exchange causes him to fall. Instead of landing on a trampoline or a net, he lands in a massive pit of sand that sucks him down into the Earth like quicksand. The woman goes after him and winds up in an eerily magical world made of fog, a night sky and several massive circus tents.

Crazy Characters

Over the course of the film, she ventures into each of the circus tents in search of the aerialist, but instead finds some eccentric characters performing unforgettable circus tricks. She sees acrobats, gymnasts, dancers, aerialists, trampoline experts and more. But her beloved aerialist is being held captive.

The Bottom Line

While Cirque Du Soleil: Worlds Away is full of amazing talent, it doesn’t translate as well as it could have on screen. The live show and grand venue is an important part of making Cirque Du Soleil a memorable experience. At times, the acts dragged on with repetitive moves. This movie would have been more successful if they had made it shorter, cutting some of the longer scenes in half. This isn't a bad movie, but if you’re interested in seeing Cirque Du Soleil, we recommend watching the live show instead.
