The Odd Life of Timothy Green is the magical story of couple who want to start a family but cant, until one stormy night Timothy shows up on their doorstep, without either of them knowing his roots!

The Odd Life of Timothy Green

Cindy (Jennifer Garner) and Jim Green are happily married in an industrial town with a pencil factory, all they need to complete their family is a child but after realising they can't they sit down one night and think of all the great qualities their child would have had. They put the lists they wrote in a box and bury it in their back yard, and lo and behold 10-year-old Timothy (CJ Adams) crawls out the ground and arrives on the doorstep after a special rainstorm. Timothy is everything the Greens ever wanted, but there's no denying there's something strange about his roots - literally, his feet are sprouting leaves!

The Bottom Line

The Odd Life of Timothy Green is part fairytale, part sentimental family film and it's guaranteed to tug on your heart strings and even gives you a few laughs while you're tearing up. CJ Adams is breath of fresh air as Timothy, perfectly capturing the sense of someone new to this earth and eager to please. The only drawbacks with this film is that it can tug on the heartstrings a little too hard!
