This week on Glee (Season 4, Episode 9) Finn wonders about his future with the New Directions and Rachel prepares for the NYADA Winter Showcase. Find out more in the Kidzworld Recap of "Swan Song" which aired December 6th 2012.
Showcase Showoffs
Rachel lands on of ten very exclusive invites to perform at the Winter Showcase, and her jealous dance instructor Cassandra July challenges her to a dance off, which despite her best efforts Rachel loses to the crazy NYADA prof. However it gets Rachel realizing that she'll have to focus on her vocals to really impress during the performance, which she does! And she's not the only one, Madame Tibideaux (Whoopi Goldberg) asks Rachel's roomie Kurt to do an impromptu number in front of the faculty and best students NYADA has to offer, and he bowls them over with his rendition of "Being Alive," and is invited to join the freshman class next semester!
Disqualified Directions
Brittany and Sam are getting close, but Britt explains to him that she wants to their relationship under wraps because of her past with Santana. After Marley's fainting spell last episode, the New Directions have been disqualified, and maybe even disbanded - leaving everyone disheartened (except for Sue Sylvester of course, although even she cops to feeling a little empty at her success in thwarting them.) The New Directions don't even have a choir room to call their own, it's been taken over by the Cheerios. Everyone gets involved in their other extra-curriculars and Finn gets a pep talk from his ex in NYC and rallies the troops via email. By the end of the episode the New Directions are practicing in a court yard, showing us there's hope yet at McKinley.
