Kidzworld was front row center for today's Breaking Dawn Part 2 press interviews. Here is a taste of what was said:
When asked if he, Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart really bonded for life over the film, Taylor Lautner responded “Our friendships will go on forever”.
When someone asked Kristen Stewart what she would gift her character Bella this coming Christmas, she seemed stumped. Right after the group interview, I suggested to her “How about you giving Bella some comfy Converse tennies?”, she brightened at the suggestion of her fave shoes and responded “There you go! That is what I would give her!”
Michael Sheen (Aro) told us that his 13-year-old daughter with Kate Beckinsale pictured Aro as a scary bald guy when she read the books. When he told her he’d be playing him expecting her to be delighted, she said “Aro’s completely bald”. I thought “Oh, I see. Everyone gets their own idea of the characters”. Good lesson to learn. He also said that he hopes the greatest role he ever plays is as her dad. Awwwwww.
From the Cullens (Nikki Reed, Jackson Rathbone, Kellan Lutz and Elizabeth Reaser) we learned that, after filming an action-packed battle scene, the “good” vamps broke into song and a flash mob style rehearsed dance to the tune of “Sweet Dreams are made of This” by the Eurythmics. Michael Sheen was evidently especially flashy in the dance off, twirling his black and red Aro cloak around. We can’t wait to see this on DVD!
Rob Pattinson on the end of the film saga: “I don’t think I’ve ever felt more completely bewildered knowing I only have a month of Twilight stuff left to do. I think it’s going to take ten years for this to settle in my brain”.
When asked what advice he would now go back five years and give himself, Rob joked “Drink vodka instead of beer and get a six-pack as soon as possible and you’ll be a much more successful actor” (he laughs).
Writer Stephenie Meyer told us “Kristen was great as a mom. She had this “mother bear” thing and really got into it. Rob was less serious with Mackenzie (Foy who plays Renesmee). He was having fun with her and laughing”. Stephenie also revealed that the very last scene in the film series was not the wedding or reception scene as we’d heard but Rob and Kristen’s romantic midnight swim while on their honeymoon. “It was on St. Thomas on a beach and dawn was breaking”, just a small crew and Stephenie watched the cameras roll on the Twilight saga for the last time.
Come back very soon for complete interviews with the cast members and our review of the movie.
