Disney’s new CG animated Secret of the Wings takes us on a magical winter adventure with one of the most famous fairies to make it to the big screen, Tinker Bell! The Secret of the Wings 4-Disc Combo Pack just hit stores, Kidzworld has the Review!

The Flitterific Fairies Double Pack includes Secret of the Wings on DVD, 3D DVD, Blu-ray and Digital Copy and is available in stores now! Secret of the Wings is the fourth installment of CG animated “Disney Fairies” movies, each of which is themed around a different season with Tinker Bell (of Peter Pan fame) leading the cast of mini magical pals.

On the summer side Pixie Hollow Tink and her friends are busy weaving snowflake baskets for the Winter Woods, Snowy Owls fetch the baskets and transport them away since the fairies on both sides are forbidden from crossing the border. Curious Tink can seem to stay away though and crosses the border while following some bunnies on their way for their annual hibernation, only to discover her wings taking on a sparkle she’s never seen before. Tink tries to find out why, but the only person who knows is a knowledgeable fairy in The Winter Woods called The Keeper and when she sneaks out to get to the bottom of things she comes across a kindred fairy in the woods, Periwinkle, who’s experienced the same sparkling phenomenon – only to discover she and Tink came from the same breath!

But there are rules that keep fairies in their own climate zones, namely that their delicate magical wings can’t stand the change in temperature. So what will happen to plucky Periwinkle and Tink who are intent on breaking the rules?

Secret of the Wings features breathtaking animation, enhancing the magical world of both the summer and winter sides of Pixie Hollow, bringing the animals and lush environments to life to with spectacular realism. There’s an all-star cast of voices behind the scenes with Pretty Little Liars starlet Lucy Hale as Periwinkle, Academy-Award winning actress Anjelica Houston as Queen Clarion, Debby Ryan as Spike and Raven-Symone as Iridessa.
Secret of the Wings is a beautiful, fun adventure that’s perfect for watching with your younger siblings, especially on a cold day (maybe with a cup of hot cocoa!)
