This week on Glee (Season 4, Episode 2) A depressed Brittany finds inspiration in her namesake Britney Spears, and Rachel struggles to adjust at NYADA with help from classmate Brody. Find out more in the Kidzworld Recap of "Britney 2.0" which aired September 20, 2012.
Rock Bottom Brittany
Brittany is clearly missing Santana and not even trying at school or putting enough effort into the Cheerios, in fact Sue Sylvester brings out a paper in which Brittany failed for putting "please turn over" for every answer and a hand drawn picture of "where math doesn't live" on the back, Sue kicks her off the team and strips her of her high pony, and Brittany descends into a funk that involves talking to herself in audible voice over, eating cheetos all the time and looking undeniably sloppy. This episode was a return to Britney Spears and Brittany re enacts the famous singers meltdowns in the past few years by half heartedly lip synching and trying to shave her head! But all is not lost, Brittany finds a loophole saying that she is still class president and puts herself back on the Cheerios.
Showing Shue no respect (but still not as bad as Puck) Jake scoots around the halls checking out girls and not skipping class until his older brother drops in to tell him that he's not as bad as he thinks and joining the New Directions is a great idea. This seems perfect since he's suddenly got eyes for Marley.
Dance Disaster
Rachel keeps getting blocked by her volatile dance instructor Cassandra July who denies her a partner learning the tango because she doesn't have enough appeal ("Maria Von Trapp or Shrek are the level of her appeal according to July) Kurt gives her the scoop on July, it turns out she was the Broadway It Girl until she got furious at a patron during a live performance and was barred from working again. Rachel decides to enlist Brody in an attempt to show July just how hot she can be and performs an amazing number only to have July shut her down at the end. She calls July a YouTube joke and gets kicked out of class. On the upside Brody stops by and gives her an orchid, seeing Finn's name painted on the wall she guesses she's still with someone, but by the end of the episode she's painted it over.
