The Performances
Tiffany opened the show with all-star Brandon as the couple took on a Disco routine that included 11 difficult lifts. Nigel loved the energy and excitement of the routine and called Tiffany sensational.
Witney and all-star Nick - the season 1 winner - performed a Travis Wall jazz routine. Nigel said that Witney was totally committed to the performance and that she was sexy even when she was breathing.
Cole and all-star Anya tackled a difficult cha-cha number. Unfortunately, the judges didn’t feel that the connection between the couple was believable, and Mary had many critiques about Cole’s footwork.
Lindsay and all-star Jacob performed a unique Broadway routine about shadows. The judges called it tremendous and Mary put Lindsay on the Hot Tamale Train.
Will and all-star Kathryn - star of Step Up Revolution - tackled a Bollywood routine. Nigel wanted to tell Will to tone down the over-the-top personality he brings to his performances, but that’s also what he loves about Will. He’s loveable and memorable.
Cyrus and all-star Jamie stunned the judges with a Travis Wall contemporary piece about the sole survivors in a post-apocalyptic world. While Cyrus’s moves may not have been flawless, he kept up with Jamie and mastered the transitions and partnering work.
Chehon and all-star Lauren performed a hip-hop routine, which was a struggle for the prim and proper ballet dancing Chehon. But according to Nigel, the routine “took the stick out from his...” He didn’t finish his sentence, but you get the idea.
George and all-star Allison performed a quirky jazz number set at a Paris train station. Watching it on TV, it looked like one of the best pieces of the night, though the judges weren’t too happy with George. They loved his technique, but they didn’t believe his character at all.
Eliana and all-star Alex received a standing ovation from the judges for their contemporary routine. Nigel dubbed Eliana his favorite girl in the competition.
Finally, Audrey and Twitch closed the show with a hip-hop routine about a 400-year-old couple who love and hate each other. Mary thought it was a comical routine and in spite of Twitch’s hip-hop mastery, she was watching Audrey throughout the entire routine!
Elimination
This week, Cat Deeley only revealed the bottom two guys and bottom two girls. They were Witney and Audrey, and Chehon and George. After the 4 contestants danced for their lives, the judges decided to send Audrey and George home.
