Sneaky CBS plays a trick on the Survivor tribes (and fans) for this Halloween episode. It turns out to be no treat for Shii Ann Huang who ends up getting booted by her Sook Jai tribemates. Between that and the barfing, Survivor 5 Thailand, episode 7, made for some pretty interesting TV.
Instead of a Reward Challenge, the tribes meet and pair-up with a person from the opposing tribe. While paired, Ken Stafford and Helen Glover are told to check out Sook Jai's beach and Shii Ann Huang and Clay Jordan check out the Chuay Gahn beach. The four then have to decide which beach both tribes will live on. Chuay Gahn's beach wins. Assuming this meant that the two tribes had merged, Shii Ann totally buddied-up with Chuay Gahn members - who were happy to have her. The "merged" group then eats and drinks - way too much. Jan Gentry keeps falling over and Brian Heidik pukes everywhere.
In the morning, before the Immunity Challenge, Shii Ann and her Chuay Gahn friends decide they will vote out Penny Ramsey. Problem is, they aren't actually merged. Jeff Probst explains to them before the Immunity Challenge that the two separate teams are still in existance - they are just sharing a beach. Sook Jai loses the Immunity Challenge and votes out Chuay Gahn's pal, Shii Ann Huang.
We've merged the Tribes! Check out our choices for next week's Tribal Council...

Penny Ramsey - has already been identified as a troublemaker by Shii Ann Huang and the Chuay Gahn members wanted to kick her out. Now, with the tribes merged, she'll need to do a little Chuay Gahn butt-kissing to stay alive.
Ken Stafford - is a threat to everyone in a merged tribe. He's strong, he's smart and he's cute (okay, maybe that's not a threat but it deserved to be mentioned.) There's a possibility he'll win a lot of personal Immunity Challenges which mean's he'll never be on the chopping block. If he loses an Immunity, a merged Chuay Jai would be smart to kick him onto the jury.
