The summer is typically slow for new game releases, but we have got some good ones this week! Check it out: Ice Age: Continental Drift-Arctic Games, NCAA Football 13, and The Last Story!
Ice Age: Continental Drift-Arctic Games
This summer we get the fourth Ice Age movie and, as usual, a game to go with it! The game, however, will not follow the story of the even. Instead, Ice Age: Continental Drift-Arctic Games, features a secret treasure that the characters of Ice Age are fighting over. Play as Manny, Diego, Sid, and others in various mini-games such as glacier hopping, ski jumping, and the squirrel cannon. Earn medals in the single player mode or challenge your friends in the tournament mode.
NCAA Football 13
Madden NFL will be coming out in a few months, but if you can't wait to get your football on during the slow summer, then NCAA Football 13 is where the action is. This year's game will feature the upcoming rule changes, such as moving the kickoff line to match that of the NFL. There are also enhancements to the quarterback position with 20 new dropback moves and 25 different pass trajectory zones to choose from. The quarterback also gains some new sack avoidance moves and extra pass animation. Wide recievers will be able to work better with you, as there is a new icon that shows how ready they are to receive a ball.
The Last Story
You may not have heard of this hidden gem Japanese RPG game for the Nintendo Wii, but The Last Story is very similar to Final Fantasy. In fact, the designer of the game used to work on Final Fantasy! As expected, the game is rich with a deep, intriguing story and interesting game play mechanics. There is also six-player co-op and competitive online modes to experiment with.
