Games Galore
The biggest announcement has got to be Pikmin 3! The black Pikmin will be making its first appearance here, as well as various new ways to control the game using the new Wii U gamepad. There's also NintendoLand, a digital theme park that has attractions such as The Legend of Zelda: Battle Quest, Luigi's Haunted Mansion, and DK's Crash Course. Also new is New Super Mario Bros. U, Scribblenauts Unlimited, ZombiU, Just Dance 4, and Lego City. Several popular games will also be ported to the new console: Batman: Arkham City, Mass Effect 3, Ninja Gaiden 3, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, and Trine 2. Coming out for the 3DS will be Luigi's Mansion 2, Epic Mickey, Kingdom Hearts, and a new Castlevania game.
Fancy Features
Last year, there were concerns surrounding the number of Wiipads that can be used at once. This year, it has been confirmed that you can play with two Wiipads and up to four Wiimotes. The Wiipad has also been upgraded to include two analog sticks with buttons, a touch pad that supports fingers and stylus, a built-in camera, microphone, speakers, headphone jack, and a volume control that works on your TV as well!
Also coming to the Wii U is the Miiverse, where you can meet up with friends and chat or see what people are playing. Wii U will also feature Netflix, Hulu, Youtube, and Amazon Video. And, as noted last year, you can use your Wii U and play certain games, such as Wii Fit U, without the need for your TV!
