Glee: Season 3, Episodes 20 and 21 :: Props/Nationals

May 15, 2012

This week on Glee (Season 3, Episodes 20 and 21), New Directions heads to Chicago. Read Kidzworld’s recap of “Props” and “Nationals”, which aired May 15, 2012, to find out what you missed!

The Swap

This week we were treated to two back-to-back episodes of Glee! In the first episode, “Props”, Tina hits her head and thinks she is now Rachel and that Rachel is Tina. The effects of this are hilarious. Instead of being her usual quiet self, she becomes an absolute diva. Even more hilarious, Tina thinks everyone else has swapped personalities too. Tina is Rachel, Sue is Mr. Schu, Finn is Kurt, and so on.

Second Chances

Meanwhile back in the real world, Rachel is still upset about choking on her audition to NYADA. She calls the dean (Whoopi Goldberg) and asks her for a second chance. She agrees to come see New Directions at Nationals, which means their performance must be perfect. Cue the next episode.

Nationals

The glee club heads to Chicago to compete at Nationals. This year, the panel of judges includes Lindsay Lohan and Perez Hilton. Unfortunately for New Directions, Mercedes has a case of food poisoning and doesn’t think she can compete. But, Finn was so confident they were going to win he bet his and Rachel’s honeymoon money. Luckily, Mercedes pulls through and is able to sing. They finish the competition with their epic version of ‘Paradise by the Dashboard Light’ by Meatloaf. Was it enough to win?

Winners

Yes! New Directions finally won first place at Nationals. When they return to McKinley, they can finally walk down the hall winners, not losers! And everyone seems to have noticed – they aren’t even getting slushied anymore, they get confettied now! Meanwhile, we’re still not sure what the dean of NYADA thought of Rachel’s performance. But, Jessie St. James comes to her aid and tells the dean she would be crazy not to accept Rachel. Will it make a difference?
