Family
It’s Father-Daughter Dance night, but none of the girls are feeing especially close to their dads at the moment. Aria is still upset about the way her dad handled Aria and Ezra’s relationship. But, her dad doesn’t understand the problem. Meanwhile, Emily’s dad is paying a special visit, but she is too concerned with Maya’s disappearance to focus on spending time with him. They try to search for her, and discover she bought a bus ticket, and may or may not have gotten onto the bus.
Suspicions
Spencer is completely overwhelmed by her family’s long list of lies. When her dad is out of the house, she sneaks into his office and finds out that he paid someone $15,000 in 2009 – the same amount of money Allison had hidden. She approaches him about it, but he claims he paid a private investigator because he was worried Melissa was involved in Allison’s disappearance. Turns out Melissa was threatening Allison because of her friendship with Ian.
Sorry Shoplifter
Hanna’s mom finds Mona’s shoplifting police report, and thinks it belongs to Hanna. She is starting to become suspicious about A, and demands to see Hanna’s phone. In order to throw her off the trail, Aria confesses that she was the one who made up the police report. She tells Hanna’s mom that she was worried Hanna would get caught shoplifting again, and just wanted to scare her. But, Hanna’s mom doesn’t buy it. She tells Aria’s mom that they should be worried about A and the hold she has on their daughters’ lives.
Texting Troubles
The girls find out that Allison was getting mysterious texts from two different phones before she died. They get the second location, and go to scout it out. The storefront they end up at has a bunch of dolls that look just like the creepy ones that were sent to them. Aria goes back to her car and puts on her red jacket. Just as she finishes, a guy calls out the name “Vivien” – Allison’s pseudonym. Who is he, and what does he know about Allison’s death?
