Now that everyone has taken their awards home from last night’s 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards, it’s time to look at the real winners and losers, on the red carpet that is! Kidzworld takes a look at celebs dressed to impress, from style stunners to full-on fashion flops!
Style Winners
Bronzed Beauty Sofia Vergara (from Modern Family) stole the spotlight in this midnight blue strapless Vera Wang evening gown.
Emma Stone, whose film the The Help was nominated for Best Picture, looked chic and unique in this two-toned maroon dress by Lanvin. Two-toned was a big style theme at this year’s awards, and Emma pulled it off perfectly.
We’re sure Shailene Woodley’s glad she chose this sweet, soft and simple strapless evening dress by Marchesa since all eyes were on her at the awards. Her movie The Descendants won Best Picture and she also got a nod for Best Supporting Actress (which went to The Help’s Octavia Spencer).
Style Losers
Sarah Michelle Gellar did not look so stellar in this strapless blue and white gown. In fact, it looks a little like a tie-dye project gone awry, but we’ll have to cut her some slack since the actress says she let her two-year-old daughter pick it!
At first glance presenter Jessica Biel’s dress seems like a throwback to a bygone era of Hollywood style. But some styles are meant to stay gone, and this grandma’s nightgown/turn of the century wedding dress disaster is a good example. Sorry Jessica!
The spaceship has landed. Or so you might think when you catch a glimpse of Kelly Osbourne’s ensemble. Although the Zac Posen dress is beautiful cobalt blue, Kelly’s slicked back peroxide hair and larger-than-life shoulder pads make her look a little out of this world (not in the good way).
Best Dressed Duo
As usual, it was hard to take your eyes off of dynamic duo Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. Angelina’s Versace dress was stunningly "old Hollywood" in white silk (with a daring splash of red!). Not to mention Brad's terrific tux.
On The Fence
British actress Tilda Swinton wore this striking and strange suit turned dress in light blue, and even though it isn’t exactly a classic we’d say...it works!
