It's Northern Cal vs. Southern Cal, Big Bridges vs. Big Stars, Redwoods vs. Hollywood... the 2002 World Series will be a wild west match-up between the San Francisco Giants and the Anaheim Angels.
The Giants advanced to the Fall Classic with a 4-1 series victory over the St. Louis Cardinals in the NLCS. It will be the first time Giants' homerun machine, Barry Bonds, has played in a World Series - he's been a playoff no-show for the first 17 years of his career. The Angels are in the World Series for the first time in history after walking over the Minnesota Twins, in five games, in the ALCS. The Angels had never even won a playoff series before but they've been surprising people throughout the 2002 season with their hustle, heart and timely hitting.
Will Barry Bonds and his big bat be enough to give the Giants California bragging rights for the World Series? Or will the Angels get some heavenly hitting and become this year's Giant Killers? Who will this Massive Match-up? Vote for the team you think will win the 2002 World Series.
