Your favorite sly Spanish kitty is back in his very own movie! Kidzworld reviews Puss in Boots, which hit theatres on Oct. 28, 2011.
The Magic Beans
For seven years, Puss in Boots has been on the run, but not by choice. His childhood friend Humpty, whom he grew up with at the orphanage, was always up to schemes. He dreamed of finding Jack’s magic beans, climbing the legendary beanstalk and stealing the golden goose. But his dreams eventually gave way to petty theft and teenage mischief, and Puss didn’t want anything to do with it. One night, Humpty tricked Puss into helping him rob the local bank and Puss wound up an outlaw.
Friends Reunited
Now, the chance to steal the magic beans has become a reality, if only Puss can swipe them from the mighty and ruthless Jack and Jill. But Puss isn’t the only one after the beans. Another cat is hot on Jack and Jill’s trail, and she works for Humpty. His old friend suggests that they work as a team, and Puss reluctantly agrees. Humpty, Puss and Kitty set out on a sky high adventure in search of the golden goose. But not everything is as it seems.
The Bottom Line
Puss in Boots, staring Antonio Banderas and Zach Galifianakis, offers a little something for everyone: romance, adventure, friendship and humor that will keep you smiling throughout the film. If you love Shrek or any of the modern animated films, then add Puss in Boots to your must-see list.
